So, we are now happy to provide you with the following list of programs that you may want to consider for future learning opportunities.
COLLEGE PROGRAMS AT THE CITY UNIVERSITY OF NEW YORK (CUNY)
CUNY Senior Colleges: When space is available, people age 60+ can audit tuition-free courses at any of the four-year CUNY colleges. Students do not take tests or receive academic credit and are limited to no more than 6 credits a term
CUNY Community Colleges: When space is available, tuition-free courses are offered at community colleges. Students participate fully in classes by doing homework, taking tests, and receiving grades and academic credit.

Continuing education programming for older adults who are semi-retired or retired, structured like a college course with a peer-learning model. Students share responsibility for designing and teaching courses, and the program is designed to combine learning and socializing.

College at 60 serves as a bridge back into the classroom for people over age 60 who are interested in learning among a community of peers in a relaxed, intellectually stimulating environment. 12 week courses and 6 week courses.
JASA NEXTACT

JASA NextAct is a unique, college-level continuing education program for adults 55+, offering a wide range of courses and lectures. Instructors include luminaries from the worlds of politics, the arts, media, and more. Courses are currently being offered online and in person. The next semester begins March 8, 2026.
PACE UNIVERSITY ACTIVE RETIREMENT CENTER (PARC)

PARC is a lifelong learning program for adults age 55 and over. PARC provides a range of
opportunities, such as a lecture series, access to the Pace University library and computer labs, and intergenerational computing assistance. There is a yearly membership cost.
QUEST LIFELONG LEARNING COMMUNITY

Part of the City College of New York, the Quest program offers more than 40 college-level, peer-led courses each semester specifically designed for those who are retired and semi-retired. Questmembers design their own curriculum and do all the teaching. Quest courses meet Monday through Thursday; Fridays are reserved for group visits to en A cee ns. There are many opportunities for socialization, including informal lunchtime activities. There is a membership fee for the year, but the Summer Encore program is free for non-Quest members although space is limited, and registration is required. Most courses take place in person with a hybrid option.

Their events calendar is emailed to older adults and caregivers across the City. Special events and video conferences promote community among older adults from a wide range of backgrounds. Programs are currently offered in person and remotely.

Roundtable, the online classroom of the 92nd Street Y, offers live synchronous classes through Zoom, as well as on-demand. Explore history, art, literature, music, philosophy, Jewish culture, and more. Take classes, engage in lively discussions, and join an online classroom from wherever you are in the world. 92NY’s Himan Brown Program has long set the standard for community engagement and enrichment for mature adults with sophisticated lectures, classes and discussion groups led by university professors, published authors, professional artists, and experts on every topic under the sun. The all-inclusive membership includes access to numerous in-person, online and hybrid programs every week that include college-level lectures, interactive classes and discussion groups, writing workshops, studio art and fitness classes designed for a mature body as well as opportunities to meet up in-person and online.
